So here we are in May which is such a wonderful time of year to get married. Last Friday the sun shone and I was in Worcestershire, at St Mary's Church in Stone, near Kidderminster, for Susie and Ben’s big day. Susie got ready at her parents’ house nearby. I always love doing prep shots in the bride’s family home as there’s so many little details around the house to photograph and it was great seeing Susie’s beautiful dress hung up next to her daughter’s little white dress too. Once everyone was ready, Susie and her bridesmaids made the short journey to the church in matching vintage Roll’s Royces, where one of the loveliest vicars I’ve had the pleasure of working with was waiting, along with a very nervous Ben!
It was a lovely ceremony, and after the confetti and a few group shots we made our way to Ombersley for the reception at the Crown and Sandy’s. This is a very striking pub with its black and white façade and the conservatory was beautifully decorated by The Wedding House. The flowers in particular were absolutely stunning! After the meal we took advantage of the beautiful evening to wander down the road to the woods for a few relaxed portraits before Susie and Ben greeted their evening guests and danced the night away.
Thank you so much to Susie and Ben for sharing their special day with me. It was an honour to capture your wedding and I hope you like your preview pictures!
