I’ve got an absolute stunner of a wedding to share with you today. Jenny and Joe tied the knot last August at Shustoke Farm Barns near Coleshill in Warwickshire.
Jenny oozed vintage glamour in a silk dress from talented designer Julie Dutton and her hair and make up was expertly done by my good friend Sarah Russell of SGR Vintage Hair and Make Up. The bridesmaids dresses were also vintage inspired and wonderfully flattering. They were from 20th Century Foxy.
This wedding gave me one of my favourite shots from last year. The registrar was lovely and let me stand in her spot so I could capture both Jenny and her dad as they walked in, as well as Joe waiting. As Jenny neared the front I waited to capture the moment when they looked at each other for the first time but it just didn’t happen. In the end I had to move back to let the ceremony start and later found out that Joe had been overcome by emotion and just couldn’t look for fear of bursting into tears - awwww!
After drinks outside in the sunshine the guests enjoyed a delicious meal in the barn which was beautifully styled to fit the rustic setting with purple and yellow flowers and buckets of lavender. The staff at Shustoke are exceedingly efficient and turned the room round in double quick time!
The evening entertainment went with a swing – they had a ceildh which got the guests up on the dancefloor and I was able to get some great action shots! They also used the upstairs room at Shustoke for a vintage themed photobooth, using a photowall provided by Penny Lane Vintage.
It was a day full of emotion and I was privileged to be able to be there to capture all the wonderful moments for Jenny and Joe to remember forever. If you’d like me to do the same for you, get in touch as 2016 is filling up fast!
I’ll leave you to look at the pictures. See if you can spot Jenny’s treasured childhood bear which came to Lea Marston hotel where she was getting ready as well as the funny shot of the guests as the happy couple cut the cake. I’m so glad that one made it into the album!
