On Sunday I had the pleasure of exhibiting at one of my favourite venues, Compton Verney in Warwickshire. I’m delighted to have been chosen as one of their recommended suppliers after shooting a wedding there last summer. It’s such a great venue for a wedding at any time of the year, with the extensive and very beautiful grounds combined with the stunning architecture of the Georgian Manor House and the paintings and sculptures in the art gallery. It’s definitely a venue with a difference!
The other reason why I love Compton Verney is that the staff are fantastic. They are incredibly friendly and efficient so your day will run beautifully. They are so good that they won the award for Best Events Team in the West Midlands at the 2015 Wedding Industry Awards.
Anne and Paul chose July for their wedding and they had a lovely sunny day, enabling them and their guests to enjoy the beautifully landscaped grounds. It also meant we could make full use of the many opportunities Compton Verney offers for interesting portrait shots. I’m very much led by my clients when it comes to couple shots. Most people spend around 20-30 minutes on these, but if you want to spend more or less time on them that’s fine. With an early ceremony we were able to go for a stroll at three different points in the day to get a variety of relaxed, romantic pictures which look amazing in Anne and Paul’s album.
It was a wonderful day, full of love and laughter, and I’m very grateful to Anne and Paul for asking me to capture it for them. Thanks also to Frank Wood who did a fabulous job of assisting me on the day.
I’ll leave you to enjoy the pictures, and if you’re looking for a photographer for your Compton Verney wedding, please get in touch!
(Can you guess the song everyone is dancing to after the first dance? It was a great way to get people up on the dancefloor and made for fantastic pictures. Leave a comment if you can!)
