I had the pleasure of meeting Kat and Matt recently for their pre-wedding photoshoot at the
Lickey Hills Country Park near Birmingham, which is a very special location for the couple. It was a gorgeous sunny day and as we shot late into the afternoon we were able to make the most of the beautiful golden light.
The couple bought their puppy, which enabled us to get some playful shots, but Mum and Dad were also on hand for a spot of dog sitting for when the couple wanted some alone time photos.
I’ve found that it is a good idea to schedule a shoot such as this for early evening during the summer months to catch the golden hour and It is also good to consider the time of sunset during your wedding if you'd like to get some sunset shots.
Engagement or pre-wedding shoots are a great way to get comfortable with being in front of the camera on your big day and for us to get to know each other better. They also let you express your personality as a couple and give you some great pictures of the two of you, which you can use for a signing book or photo frame at your wedding, or just to print, frame and then display around the house.
The beautiful couple got married over the Easter weekend, with a lovely reception at
Ardencote Manor Hotel in Warwick. Watch out for some of their wedding pictures coming up on the blog soon!
