Last month I had the pleasure of photographing Ellie and Ste's wedding at Redhouse Barn, a stunning venue in Stoke Prior, near Bromsgrove in Worcestershire. This is just down the road from Ellie's family home where she got ready. I always love it when the prep shots take place somewhere with such personal meaning and history as I can incorporate lots of personal elements into the photos. It also meant that Tess, the family's golden retriever, could pop down after the ceremony to join in with the fun! Ste got ready at Chateau Impney, where they were spending their wedding night - what a spectactular location!
I absolutely loved Ellie's choice of colour for her bridesmaids' dresses, but the green theme went much deeper. Ellie and her bridesmaids all wore jewellery made from recycled silver by Jenny, one of the bridesmaids, and Ellie and Ste's rings were from a supplier of bespoke ethical jewellery. Ellie's dress was designed by Julie Dutton who promotes eco couture and it was made from sustainable bamboo silk. The venue was also chosen partly for it's environmentally friendly credentials.
Thanks to Ellie and Ste for choosing me to capture their wedding day and also to the fabulous Andy Pickard of Peacock Obscura Photography for assisting me.
