I'm so excited to share this with you today. It's been a while in the planning and I'm finally ready to share it with the world! As part of my Masters Degree in photography, in the spirit of being innovative, I decided to test out a new idea.
As the mum of a gorgeous little girl, I'm always conscious of how fast she's growing up and changing. I often wish I could freeze time and capture the essence of her, just as she is at that moment. I also absolutely love collecting her drawings and the funny little things that she says. The things that make her who she is at that particular age, and the things that define us as a family.
This inspired me to create my new memory book. I love taking photos of children being themselves - running around, having fun, pulling faces and interacting with the rest of their family. I decided to combine this with a collection of mementoes - drawings, quotes, writing, handprints.
Last week I shared the fabulous day out I had with two gorgeous children and their parents at Coughton court. They weren't keen on standing still for any posed shots, but that meant we got lots of natural, fun-filled images which really captured their personalities. The video below shows the beautiful memory book that I created by combining the pictures with their mementoes. Have a look - I'd love to know what you think!
(It has music but you can turn it off using the volume slider to the right. I'm not a fan of music on websites but I felt that this needed a little!)
If you like the idea and would like to create your own book of memories, please get in touch. I'm offering discounts for an initial period.
