I'm just been putting the finishing touches to Lorraine and Martin's album so I thought I ought to share some of my favourite images from their August wedding in Stratford Upon Avon. The weather forecast was for torrential rain and storms all day but we were lucky as the rain held off until midway through the drinks reception and we managed to get plenty of shots outside the church.
One of the things I love about documentary wedding photography is capturing the anticipation, the excitement and all the special details, especially during the bridal preparations. Lorraine had lots of eager bridesmaids and it was great to capture their reactions, particularly Martin's daughter Sophie who was captivated by Lorraine's transformation into a beautiful bride.
After a service at Holy Trinity Church, where Shakespeare is believed to be buried, the guests travelled by boat to the Swan's Nest Hotel for the reception. Thanks to my brilliant second shooter Ruth Goalby and to Lorraine and Martin for making us feel so welcome.
