Last week I was back at one of my favourite venues, Wethele Manor. It’s always a pleasure working there as it’s such a beautiful place, with wonderful grounds, and the staff are amazing, making sure the day runs efficiently but in a really relaxed manner which suits my couples, and me too!
My good friend Sarah Russell was working her magic on Alison and her bridesmaids in the hut by the lake, although I’m not sure Ian was keen on the lipstick as you’ll see from some of the pictures! There was a strong nature theme to the day, starting with the beautifully unusual chameleon necklaces that Alison gave to her bridesmaids. The cake was decorated with a pair of albatross as they mate for life, and each guest had a mini terrarium with a miniature toadstool and/or snake. The lovely wild flowers were provided by Honey Pot Flowers and they looked great with the vintage book/fairy light centrepieces.
Wethele is a great venue for a summer wedding as the grounds are perfect for guests to spread out and enjoy themselves, but sadly the weather had other ideas on this occasion. Alison and Ian had already chosen to have their ceremony in the oak beamed conservatory and the rain did at least hold off long enough for us to spend some time outside. It also didn’t stop the spacehopper races later in the evening!
Thank you so much to Alison and Ian for sharing your day with me. It was an honour to capture it for you. I hope you enjoy your preview pictures!
